EDITORIAL DIRECTION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

I coordinate all aspects of editorial production of art books and exhibition catalogues for museums and art institutions, from concept to final product.

My role involves working closely with other professionals from the publishing and museum world, including designers, editors, translators, colour separation, prepress companies, printers and binders.

Over the last twenty years I have directed, edited, or coordinated the production of more than eighty exhibition catalogues and art publications for public and private institutions including: The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, Museo Nacional del Prado, Guggenheim Bilbao, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Biblioteca Nacional de España, Fundación Mapfre, Fundación Telefónica, Fundación La Caixa, Colección Familia Ernesto Poma, Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, Colección José Ramón Prieto.

• Editorial direction and production coordination among clients, designers, translators, authors, curators, colour separation firms, printers, etc.

• Design and layout supervision and its adaptation to contents

• Reception, coordination and sorting of materials and files

• Schedule development

• Edition and copy-editing: style and typographical/syntax corrections, unification of terminology, and content reorientation

• Development of appendices, bibliographies, exhibition histories, lists of works, etc.

• Bibliographic research for footnotes and appendices

• Research toward proposals to illustrate essays

• Proofreading and blueline correction

• Management of copyrights and reproduction rights

• Corrections to colour proofs and prepress quality control
